Website migration shenanigans

Eve Radio News

Tis a brand new year and as is the tradition, we are once again

upgrading our hardware, rolling out new stuff and getting all set for a whole new chapter in GRN / Eve Radio's burgeoning book of awesome!

Unfortunately this might mean there is a little bit of disruption here and there. Take, for instance, the ER website appeared to vanish from the internet overnight for a little bit. Whoops. More pleasingly, you may have noticed the website is running at almost supernatural speed.

Unearthly, I hear you cry. No doubt, this is the result of some back end wizardry which we will be applying everywhere and especially on our new behemoth primary server, Atlas.

The long and short of it is this.

Over the next few days the chances are there may be periods when things don't quite work like they should. We're probably aware of it, so no need to panic. We will fix any issues as they come up but as the operation is fairly big (Poor, poor Gaz) you should be prepared for a little downtime and periods where normal site web services are disrupted, behave oddly or completely explode in your face.

Like I said, we'll fix it as we go.

Thank for reading and fingers crossed for a quick and easy migration. We got cool things coming this month and we can't wait to show you.
